Job Description

Job Title: Senior Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our team at CV-Library. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the on-time delivery of our clients' projects, which range in value from £500k to £5M, mainly for export. You will work closely with sales, design, and purchasing functions to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Execution: Take responsibility for the full project execution from design output, providing effective leadership and coordination of the purchasing, production, manufacturing, and installation teams.
  2. Project Planning: Use project planning skills and tools to ensure consistent planning, forecasting, budget control, risk management, and demonstrate cost savings throughout.
  3. Leadership and Coordination: Provide positive leadership to the teams, ensuring health and safety is always managed across all departments.
  4. Talent Management: Identify skills opportunities and gaps, recruiting and maintaining the strength of the teams, holding scheduled performance reviews, and motivating staff to achieve objectives and personal development goals.
  5. Business Development: Identify opportunities for business growth and development, working closely with the sales and marketing teams to achieve this goal.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Significant experience in building and commissioning large scale capital equipment worldwide.
  • Experience in locating and developing critical suppliers of high value commercial and fabricated equipment and sub-assemblies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate close working relationships with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and personnel.
  • Demonstrable ability to work consistently under times of pressure and provide positive leadership to the teams.
