We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer who embodies our OneTeam value, which is central to our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) project discussions to evaluate production implications and strategic planning.
- Enhance productivity through continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing Cost of Goods Sold (COGs).
- Collaborate closely with procurement to ensure the acquisition of materials that meet quality standards and cost-effectiveness.
- Engage with suppliers to guarantee that components are designed and produced according to specified standards and quality benchmarks.
- Work in conjunction with the Site Production Manager to develop efficient production scheduling processes.
- Oversee production Engineering Change Notices (ECN), including the introduction and phase-out of materials and processes.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a manufacturing engineer, particularly in electrical and electronic domains, with knowledge of PCBA and box assembly being advantageous, including the management of production testing equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and apply Design for Manufacture principles, including DFMEA, Control Plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Capable of converting engineering designs into clear and practical production documentation.
- Proficient in line balancing techniques, process flow analysis, and takt time management, as well as 5S methodologies.
- Experience in leading Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives for process and procurement enhancements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RA) and Corrective Action (CA) methodologies, including 5 Whys and 8D techniques.
