Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Accommodation Manager to join our team at BAM Nuttall. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of accommodation projects across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that include timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments for accommodation projects across multiple sites.
  • Site Accommodation Management: Collaborate with project managers to determine site accommodation needs based on project size, workforce, and location.
  • Facilities Development: Develop a detailed plan for the creation of facilities, including site layout, utilities, amenities, and security.
  • Stakeholder Management: Co-ordinate with all suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and set up for all facilities.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct site inspections to identify suitable locations for accommodation and assess any potential challenges.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all projects are compliant with local regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
  • Environmental and Sustainability: Work closely with project teams to deliver environmental and sustainability commitments, ensuring ongoing compliance with BAM and customer requirements.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the site accommodation budget, ensuring cost effectiveness while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
  • Financial Reporting: Monitor expenditures and provide regular financial reports to senior management, highlighting any budget variances.
  • Cost-Saving Initiatives: Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality or safety.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to legal requirements, building codes, and health and safety regulations.
  • Regulatory Engagement: Consult with relevant regulatory bodies and representatives to facilitate all necessary approvals or inspections.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Post-Project Evaluation: Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and recommend improvements for future projects.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Progress Reporting: Regularly update senior management on project progress, risks, and any changes to the project scope.
  • Accountability: Function as the primary point of contact for all matters relating to the accommodation, consulting with project managers and leads, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Site Management: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address any issues, and ensure that work is being carried out according to project specifications.
  • Contingency Planning: Manage any on-site challenges, including delays, resource shortages, or unexpected issues, by implementing effective contingency plans.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, with a focus on multisite or large-scale accommodation projects.
  • Previous Experience: Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, preferably in the construction, energy, or oil and gas sectors.
  • Skills: Ability to manage projects across multiple locations simultaneously, ensuring consistency and quality in delivery. Strong budget management skills with the ability to forecast, monitor, and control project costs effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. Experience in managing relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including senior management. High level of accuracy in managing project details, timelines, and documentation. In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations, building codes, environmental, and other relevant legal requirements.
