Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Storekeeper to join our team in the Clothing Store Garrison Support Unit (BGSU). The successful candidate will provide logistics support, covering a wide range of areas and functions, with a primary focus on supporting 11 Signal Regiment. The Clothing Store serves over 1000 service personnel across the Garrison, providing clothing and safety equipment required for their roles.
This includes trainees, permanent staff, those deploying on operations, and Civil Servants who require safety clothing for their role. The Clothing Store staff utilize MJDI to demand, issue, receive, and exchange items of clothing and equipment, conduct partial and full de-kits for Garrison personnel, maintain Personal Holding Records, and ensure all work is conducted in accordance with the Defence Logistic Framework.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who can work well individually and as part of a team to carry out essential issuing, receipting, and exchange of clothing items within the Garrison Clothing Store.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing counter and electronic service for the Garrison Clothing Store, conversant with all Material Regulations and Interim Supply Chain Procedures relating to the efficient running of a Clothing Store.
- Transporting, unpacking, and receipt of all clothing stores, ensuring that all items received are documented and disposed of in the correct location.
- Responsible for de-kits and any personal holding amendments required.
- Ensuring the Clothing Store, including shelving items, is kept in a clean and tidy condition, compliant with H&S legislation.
- Covering for the clothing store manager, ensuring continued support across the department during times of leave or sickness.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Use of MJDI (training will be provided).
- Forklift License (training will be provided).
