Gi Group Recruitment is currently looking for a Caretaker to support our industrial client in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
The Caretaker plays a vital role in ensuring that all facilities are operational, accessible, and appropriate for all visitors.
The position includes some forklift responsibilities (counterbalance) and may require gate monitoring duties as needed.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of the premises and surrounding areas by managing waste disposal and cleaning tasks.
- Uphold health and safety standards by ensuring that pathways and emergency exits are free from obstructions and hazards.
- Ensure timely delivery of mail, packages, and documents to designated locations.
- Supervise contractors performing work on-site.
- Conduct regular welfare and restroom inspections.
Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a caretaking or similar role.
- Valid forklift operating license.
- Strong attention to detail and capability to perform basic cleaning duties.
- Proficient in forklift operation.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work collaboratively.
- Organized and methodical approach to tasks.
- Experience in a customer-focused environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
