Teaching Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable primary school in the Leigh area. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide general support to teachers in KS1 and KS2 classrooms
  • Assist with Phonics and other curriculum areas
  • Support students with challenging behavior
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and behavior management skills
  • Confidence in dealing with challenging behavior
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others
  • Passion for ensuring every child succeeds and reaches their full potential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Essentials:
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure and professional reference checks
  • CV covering the last 10 years of employment history
  • Legal right to work in the UK
