About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Mindful Chef. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards and accreditations from the best in class produce supply chain.

You will be responsible for negotiating the best commercial agreements with suppliers of fresh ingredients, which are delivered to thousands of homes across the UK each week. Your goal will be to source the best possible ingredients at the best price, working closely with our Technical, Operations, Kitchen, and Brand teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, locally sourced produce that meets our brand positioning and values.
  • Negotiating commercial agreements with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive gross margin improvements and economies of scale in overhead cost lines.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers who share our values and commitment to quality.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and market developments to ensure we remain competitive and innovative in our procurement practices.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Specialist who is passionate about food buying and procurement. You will have a strong background in category buying, preferably in fresh produce, and excellent negotiation skills. You will be commercially minded, with a focus on delivering results while maintaining high-quality standards.

You will be a team player, with excellent collaboration and communication skills, and a strong understanding of food safety regulations. You will be a problem-solver, with a positive and proactive approach to addressing challenges and opportunities.
