Job Summary
The Education Authority seeks a dedicated and innovative Youth Officer to promote good relations, equality of opportunity, and have due regard for equality legislation at all times. The successful candidate will work in consultation with the post-holder to reflect the changing needs of the Service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to promote equality and inclusion in the community.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address the needs of young people.
- Provide support and guidance to post-holders to ensure compliance with equality legislation.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to promote good relations and equality of opportunity.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of equality legislation and its application in a community setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of community development principles and practices.
