Job Title: Head of Strategic Communications

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Strategic Communications to join our team at Ofgem. As a key member of our Communications Directorate, you will play a critical role in shaping our communications strategy and ensuring that our messages are clear, effective, and aligned with our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that supports our business objectives and enhances our reputation.
  • Lead a team of communications professionals to deliver high-quality communications outputs that engage our stakeholders and promote our brand.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our communications are integrated and aligned with our business goals.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on communications best practices and ensure that our communications are evidence-based and data-driven.
  • Manage and maintain our communications budget and resources to ensure that we are achieving our communications objectives.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in strategic communications, with a strong track record of developing and implementing effective communications strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of communications professionals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective communications solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
