Job Title: Contracts Manager

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of multiple fit-out projects and large-scale projects throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review contract details, tender documents, and pre-construction information to ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements.
  • Exercise good contractual knowledge on JCT and D&B contracts to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
  • Develop and implement construction programs and information release schedules to meet project deadlines.
  • Initiate site mobilization and oversee site setup to ensure a smooth project start.
  • Liaise closely with project QS and site manager to ensure cost control and quality assurance.
  • Manage approved subcontractors to ensure health and safety protocols are upheld and program requirements are met.
  • Monitor live projects for quality of work, cost, and program implications, and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Carry out regular site visits to inspect progress and identify potential issues.
  • Attend project meetings and create regular progress reports to keep stakeholders informed.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in managing and tendering contracts for large-scale works and multiple site smaller works.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage timeframes and budget while maintaining contract terms.
  • Ability to travel throughout the UK for project-related activities.
