Behavioural Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Mentor to join our team at Creetown Primary School. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional support needs, including learning needs, medical diagnosis, and social and emotional needs.
About the RoleThis is a temporary part-time position, working 20 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. The successful candidate will be expected to support pupils in raising attainment through providing nurture working across the Creetown and Minnigaff Primary School Partnership.
Key Responsibilities- Support pupils with additional support needs, including learning needs, medical diagnosis, and social and emotional needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualised support plans.
- Provide nurture support to pupils, promoting positive relationships and behaviour.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures related to pupil support.
The successful candidate will hold qualifications at Standard Grade Level 3 (or equivalent) in English and Maths and have prior experience of working with children and young people. This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
