We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our team at McLaren Group. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Machine Shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Planning teams to schedule and accept work into the Machine Shop, ensuring alignment with project planning and available capacity.
  • Work closely with Shift Leads and Team Leaders to support the delivery of high-quality products, meeting our OEE targets and component quality standards.
  • Deliver work acceptance into the shop with reliable and consistent set and run times estimates, ensuring efficient production processes.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering in identifying and addressing raw material requirements, long lead items, and other production-related issues.
  • Contribute to the review of final set up and run times to support future planning estimates and drive improvement projects, including NPI and revision for repeat components.
  • Communicate critical information and project opportunities to Process Engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Provide support, ideas, and data to enhance the development of our MRP & MES systems.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings, sharing operational achievements, risks, issues, and opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a high-technology, small-batch precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of cross-functional liaison and delivery management.
  • Strong team-oriented environment experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent knowledge of MRP and MES systems.
  • Experience introducing new working practices to achieve world-class manufacturing status.
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement Methodologies and Control Mechanisms.
