Job Summary:

Randstad Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Protection Specialist to join our team as an Independent Social Worker/Reviewing Officer. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of child safeguarding principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive child protection plans in collaboration with social workers, families, and other agencies.
  • Chair child protection conferences and make informed decisions regarding the level of intervention and service provision.
  • Work closely with multi-agency teams to ensure effective case management and coordination.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of mental health factors impacting child development and their implications for child protection practice.
  • Manage complex cases and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience in chairing child protection conferences.
  • Previous management experience working within child safeguarding services.
  • Excellent skills in multi-agency working, child-focused case planning, dispute resolution, and escalation processes.
