Job Title: Clinical Psychologist - Bariatric Surgery Service

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Bariatric Surgery Service at Tunbridge Wells Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to provide high-quality, compassionate care.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work as a Clinical Psychologist within our specialist Bariatric Surgery Service, providing psychological assessments, interventions, and support to patients.
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based psychological interventions to promote healthy behaviors and improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from a BPS-accredited course.
  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Post-doctoral training in specialist areas of psychological practice, such as health psychology or cognitive-behavioral therapy.
  • Experience of working as a Clinical Psychologist in physical health settings, preferably in bariatric surgery or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

  • A competitive salary of £53,755 to £60,504 per annum, pro rata.
