About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to work with our prestigious brand, utilizing modern diagnostic equipment to diagnose and rectify vehicle faults. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met, while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach.
- Ensure full understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
- Carry out diagnosis, repairs, and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
- Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.
- Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above work specified.
- Check level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles after work has been carried out. Liaise with Service Advisor.
- Complete relevant service documentation (job sheets, PDI's, service reports) in line with brand standards, warranty, and site requirements.
- Complete vehicle health checks.
- Ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are always maintained, including the use of special and personal tools.
- The knowledge to use modern diagnostic equipment.
- The capability of working to the highest quality standards.
- Great communication skills.
- Maintain high standards of house-keeping.
- Prior experience of working to efficiency targets.
- A full UK driving license.
- Experience within a main automotive dealer preferable, but not essential.
- VOSA approved MOT tester an advantage but not essential.
- Must hold Level 2 or Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair NVQ or equivalent.
