Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Buyer with a Mechanical and Electrical background to join our team at Recruitment Services UK. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing supplier relationships to ensure that procurement activities are achieved safely, according to time and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and source products that align with the company's brand and customer preferences.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.
  • Ensure that goods, materials, and services are procured in accordance with specified requirements.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure correct rates and trading terms and delivery schedules.
  • Develop additional or alternative sources of supply and maintain lists of accepted vendors.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers regarding product quality, delivery, or pricing.
  • Raise and maintain purchase orders as required and match invoices to purchase orders.
  • Expedite all outstanding purchase orders.
  • Coordinate and update register in line with project budgets.
  • Monitor supplier performance based on quality, pricing, and reliability.
  • Liaise with the operational teams in respect of stock levels, transfer and deliveries and assist where possible.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, including contracts, orders, and supplier correspondence.
  • Support Procurement Manager in Ipswich Business Unit with procurement activities.
  • Ensure end of month invoicing of goods is carried out appropriately.
  • Adherence to internal procedures and good purchasing practice
  • Safety – ensure safety and well-being of self and others.
