About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our Test Services Team based in Gloucester. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting electro-mechanical test systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop electrical interface systems within the Test facility
  2. Provide electrical facility support and be the point of contact for electrical issues
  3. Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  4. Travel to customer sites as required to provide technical support
  5. Develop and implement PLC / HMI programming designs and implementations
  6. Design and install electrical circuitry and motor control systems
  7. Calibrate and test electrical equipment and systems
  8. Manage tasks and projects to meet customer requirements and deliver high-quality results
  9. Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  10. Supervise and coordinate the work of other team members as required

Requirements

  1. Time served Apprenticeship, HNC/HND or BEng degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  2. Strong understanding of electrical safety and regulatory requirements
  3. Experience with electrical circuit design and installation, PLC / HMI programming, and motor control systems
  4. Knowledge of electrical calibration and testing techniques
  5. Excellent communication and project management skills
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  7. Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software applications
