StepStone Infrastructure & Real Assets ("SIRA") is a worldwide team dedicated to assisting institutional investors at all phases of their infrastructure and real assets investment strategies. This includes both new and existing investments in sectors such as infrastructure, timber, agriculture, and energy. Our investment professionals possess extensive experience in infrastructure and real assets, with teams located in Canada, the US, the UK, and Australia.
Position Summary:
The Analyst role within StepStone Infrastructure & Real Assets involves providing analytical, modeling, and transactional support to both local and international teams in advising clients on global investments in infrastructure and related real asset sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, including the creation and modification of complex financial models, analysis of financial statements and forecasts, preparation of valuation bridges, execution of discounted cash flow analysis, and conducting comparable public company assessments.
- Exhibit proficiency in memo and presentation writing, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all communications.
- Conduct thorough research and due diligence on potential investment opportunities and sectors, including primary funds, secondaries, co-investments, and direct investments.
- Develop and articulate investment arguments effectively, both verbally and in written formats, and defend positions during team discussions, including Investment Committee meetings.
- Engage with clients effectively, preparing advisory materials as necessary.
- Assist senior staff in sourcing and managing incoming investment opportunities.
Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, project finance, professional services, investment management, or similar fields.
- A Bachelor's degree or MBA (or higher) in a related discipline such as Business, Finance, Engineering, or Economics.
Preferred Skills and Attributes:
- Adaptability – StepStone is a dynamic and entrepreneurial organization; all professionals are expected to perform a variety of functions.
- Foster and exemplify a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Proficiency in German, Italian, or French is advantageous.
