Nuclear Safety Analyst at Amentum

Amentum, a leading provider of technical and engineering services, is currently looking for a Nuclear Safety Analyst to become part of their major projects team. In this role, you will be tasked with nuclear criticality modeling and safety evaluation within the major program safety case team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting criticality evaluations and associated tasks in partnership with various departments.
  • Assisting the Safety Case Manager in ensuring compliance.
  • Providing guidance to management and clients regarding regulatory adherence.
  • Collaborating with suppliers and facilitating client interactions with regulatory bodies and safety committees.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Proven experience in nuclear criticality safety evaluations and applicable code utilization.
  • Strong communication and organizational capabilities.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in safety cases related to civil reactors and the defense sector.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and project oversight.
  • Skills in mentoring and coaching.
