Hours of work: 37 hours per week

Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: £60-£75/hr Umbrella

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Nuclear Safety Engineer to join our team at Rullion Limited. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for providing nuclear safety input to design projects, ensuring that nuclear safety requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide nuclear safety input to design projects while ensuring nuclear safety requirements are met
  2. Prepare and agree the safety case strategy
  3. Ensure works meet the required cost and programme requirements
  4. Produce, verify and approve calculations, analyses, design documentation and technical reports
  5. Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure smooth communication between them
  6. Lead and participate in hazard identification studies
  7. Co-ordinate the production of the safety submission
  8. Review and approve design changes
  9. Raise quality plans for work packages
  10. Produce, verify and approve technical work scopes

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in science or engineering related discipline
  2. Ideally 10 years experience
  3. Nuclear industry experience
  4. Experience developing and preparing safety documentation
  5. Experience producing safety submissions
  6. Knowledge of regulatory negotiation, safety management and provision of specialist advice
  7. Experience managing safety case teams

Desirable:

  1. Chartership status or working towards
