Full-Time Cover Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Cover Teaching Assistant team, ensuring that high-quality lessons are conducted during teacher absences.
  • Collaborate with the Deputy Student Services Manager to effectively manage and distribute cover lessons among the team.
  • Guide team members to assist with core subject lessons when cover is not in demand.
  • Deliver lessons to students in the absence of their regular subject teacher, fostering a constructive and engaging learning atmosphere.
  • Support teachers in preparing and delivering curriculum materials.
  • Provide administrative assistance across various subjects to facilitate seamless classroom operations.
  • Act as a mentor, actively contributing to the House ethos and aiding in students' personal growth.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with youth in an educational context is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to effectively manage classroom behavior.
  • A positive demeanor and the ability to collaborate within a team.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma; a degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • A valid DBS check, or willingness to obtain one.

All quoted pay rates will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of a permanent role becoming available later.
