Overview of the Position
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is integral to the success of our warehouse operations. The primary objective is to oversee a dedicated team of warehouse personnel, promoting Health and Safety standards throughout the facility while enhancing operational effectiveness. This position is crucial for achieving optimal levels of productivity, profitability, and efficiency in alignment with the company's operational goals.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the warehouse team to surpass productivity, cost management, customer satisfaction, and quality benchmarks, ensuring accurate receipt of goods, precise stock picking, and timely deliveries.
- Guarantee that all activities are performed in strict adherence to Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Corporate policies, as well as all applicable legal regulations.
- Execute order picking based on computer-generated lists, involving repetitive handling and lifting of substantial items.
- Manage the loading, cutting, and unloading of steel materials.
- Ensure all documentation is meticulously processed to maintain stock accuracy.
- Facilitate the transfer of inventory to designated locations using a forklift and overhead crane.
- Support the overall production and dispatch processes for customer orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, upholding high Health and Safety standards at all times.

- Valid UK driving license.
