Job Description

Role: Asset Maintenance Solutions Field Service Engineer

Contract: Permanent

Location: Dorchester

As a Briggs Asset Maintenance Solutions Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and policies set by customers and Briggs Equipment
  • Providing maintenance and repair services for diesel, petrol, and electrically powered small plant, agricultural, and ground care equipment
  • Attending to breakdowns, fault finding, and completing planned preventative maintenance
  • Maintaining high levels of customer service and addressing any queries or concerns
  • Completing job activities electronically and ensuring all necessary parts are ordered
  • Maintaining the company vehicle to a high standard and ensuring it is equipped with the necessary parts
  • Maintaining and developing customer relationships through exceptional service

As an Asset Maintenance Solutions Field Service Engineer, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant technical qualifications and certifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the equipment maintenance industry
  • A strong understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles
  • The ability to work independently and under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively
  • A customer-centric approach, understanding customer needs and expectations

As an Asset Maintenance Solutions Field Service Engineer, you will be rewarded with:

  • A competitive base salary of £36,209 per annum, based on a 40-hour working week
  • Overtime is payable at 1.5 times the hourly rate, Monday to Saturday, and 2 times the hourly rate on Sunday
  • The use of a company vehicle for private use, subject to tax deductions
