Job Overview

Sodexo is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team at Worthy Down. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our convenience store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer queries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operate the till system and manage cash handling duties.
  • Assist with stock management, including receiving deliveries, replenishing stock, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Champion new ways of working and contribute to the development of innovative solutions to improve customer experience and store efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of promotions, offers, and loyalty schemes to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Perform cleaning duties and maintain a high standard of store appearance.
Requirements
  • Previous retail experience is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Basic product knowledge and a willingness to learn and develop skills.
  • Good digital capability and proficiency in using digital tools and applications.
