Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Social Work Supervisor to provide supervision and support to foster families, collaborate with professionals, and promote the well-being of children in foster care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality supervision and support to foster families, ensuring their needs are met and their well-being is promoted.
  • Collaborate with professionals involved in the children's lives, including social workers, foster carers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare insightful reports and attend meetings to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with foster carers, social workers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective support network.

Requirements:

  • A genuine desire to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
  • Commitment to values: respect, honesty, transparency, reliability, and a child-centered approach.
  • Experience managing a caseload and providing supervision and support to foster families.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call system to ensure 24/7 support for foster families.
  • Social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Knowledge of fostering regulations, child protection, and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with foster carers, social workers, and other professionals.
  • A valid driving license and access to a car.
