About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Public Health Staff Nurse to join our Bournemouth Central team, specializing in children and young people's health. This permanent position offers hours per week with core team hours of and no weekend working.

As a Public Health Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering the Healthy Child Programme. You will collaborate closely with children, young people, families, local authorities, early intervention services, schools, education establishments, and various healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support and care.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Providing evidence-based interventions and guidance to promote the health and well-being of children and young people.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educating families and communities on child health topics, promoting healthy lifestyles, and addressing concerns.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
  • Experience working with children and young people in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and promoting health equity.
