Senior Internal Audit Manager

This leading public body is currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Internal Audit Manager to join their team. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for providing quality assurance that the key principles of Internal Audit are being upheld within the terms and conditions of the Public Sector internal Audit Standards, Managing Public Money and other key government/industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Manage a small team of auditors, providing guidance and oversight on audit projects.
- Audit Delivery: Deliver planned audits to scope, quality, time, and within budget as outlined.
- Strategy and Assurance: Contribute to the overall audit strategy and the process of ongoing assurance.
- Methodology Development: Drive the development and implementation of Internal Audit function methodologies, professional practices, tools, etc., to meet and exceed relevant internal audit standards.
- Representation: Represent internal audit on internal program and project boards as necessary to advise on risk and control issues.
- Reporting: Deliver draft and final reports in line with agreed deadlines.
- Leadership: Support and stand in for the Head of Internal Audit as necessary.
The ideal candidate will have considerable experience at a senior level of internal audit, preferably within a Trade Finance environment or wider Financial Services sector. You will be an experienced team manager and will be expected to be a key contributor in developing the overall strategy, professionalism, and quality assurance program of the Internal Audit and Assurance division.
It is essential that you are fully qualified (CMIIA, CCAB, or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate considerable internal audit experience across complex and regulated organizations.
