About the Role

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer Apprentice to join our growing civils team, working on a variety of infrastructure projects. As part of our team, you will be involved in delivering highways and infrastructure projects for a diverse range of clients and sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete an apprenticeship program of learning and modular work, predominantly in the workplace, with external training courses to complement learning.
  • Develop knowledge of varying building techniques and materials used.
  • Interpret Engineers' design briefs, undertaking design analysis and compiling reports in compliance with British Standards and Euro-codes.
  • Utilize knowledge and initiative to identify solutions, providing feedback and contributing ideas within the team.
  • Conduct site inspections, gathering relevant data to compile comprehensive reports.
  • Maintain records and work folders, ensuring all work is checked appropriately.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external clients, building and maintaining positive relations.
  • Attend internal design review meetings in accordance with company protocols.
  • Work within agreed deadlines, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Grow and develop knowledge, experience, and initiative.
  • Take responsibility for own development and CPD.
Requirements
  • A keen interest in the construction industry, buildings, or water/drains systems.
  • Competence with computers, able to learn new software.
  • Problem-solving skills, able to offer solutions to challenges.
  • Able to work and collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Confident, articulate, collaborative, and proactive.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop skills and career with training support.
  • Good time management and organizational skills to efficiently manage workload.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK and be able to demonstrate proof when requested.
