The Role

We're seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and help our clients deploy data pipelines and processes in a production-safe manner. As a Data Engineer at BJSS, you'll work with the latest technologies and tools to build scalable and reusable data solutions that drive business value.

Our Data Engineers are specialist software engineers who combine the discipline of software engineering with the knowledge and experience of building data solutions. You'll work in a fast-paced, agile environment with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver modern data platforms into large organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data pipelines and processes using cloud-based technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that meet business requirements
  • Develop and maintain data applications, systems, and services using software engineering best practices
  • Work with clients to understand their data needs and develop solutions that meet those needs
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and tools in the field of data engineering

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience with cloud-based technologies and data engineering best practices
  • Strong software engineering skills with a focus on data solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with parallel computing and data processing
  • Knowledge of design choices for data storage and data processing
