Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our client, a leading Civil Engineering company, in a Contract role. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing utility projects and providing expert advice on Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Head of SHEQ, provide competent advice and guidance on the management of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental issues.
  • Liaise with operational staff to meet contract and business needs and objectives.
  • Provide specialist assistance with risk assessments and risk management.
  • Ensure the division's safety management system is routinely updated and fit for purpose.
  • Ensure resources are available to managers, including appropriate documentation and training.
  • Provide support in implementing Quality and Environmental Management systems.
  • Provide monthly and annual reports on contract performance.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to NEBOSH Diploma level.
  • Previous experience as a SHEQ Manager in the utilities industry.
