Financial Controller

As a key member of the Forged Solutions Group team, the Asset Data Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial accounting, ensuring robust financial controls, and providing timely financial reports to support business decisions. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including financial reporting and analysis.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports, as well as annual budgets and multi-year plans, working closely with various departments to validate and consolidate data.
- Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, and strong inventory control.
- Oversee the audit process and liaise with external personnel as needed.
- Assist Operations and Plant Managers with periodic updates to standard costs in the bill of materials and associated reports.
- Monitor business performance, providing insights to drive performance improvement.
- Support the business with financial strategy and decision-making processes.
- Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) with previous management and reporting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, with proficiency in financial reporting and analysis tools.
- Experience with standard costing and inventory control.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams.
- Proactive planning, organisational, and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivating, proactive, keen to learn, eager to progress, tactful, etc.
