We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team in Sheffield. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the entire accounting team, ensuring the company's financial information is accurate and compliant with national standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all day-to-day accounting functions, including financial reporting and analysis.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly forecasts, as well as annual budgets and multi-year plans.
  • Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and balance sheet reconciliations, including strong inventory control and fixed asset management.
  • Oversee the audit process and liaise with external personnel as required.
  • Assist Operations and Plant Managers with periodic updates to standard costs and associated reports.
  • Monitor business performance and provide insights to drive performance improvement.
  • Support the business with financial strategy and decision-making processes.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) with previous management and reporting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills, with proficiency in financial reporting and analysis tools.
  • Experience with standard costing and inventory control.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams.
  • Proactive planning, organisational, and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
