About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teaching assistant to support a student with social and emotional needs in a full-time capacity in Swadlincote.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the student in all aspects of their day, including emotional and behavioral development.
  • Work closely with the lead teacher to provide feedback on progression and support the student's learning.
  • Encourage and assist the student in social interactions and participation in class activities.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or working with children with additional needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students and work well with teachers and parents.
  • A patient, caring, and creative approach to problem-solving and education.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and the ability to adapt to various learning needs and styles.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to undergo this process).
