Connex Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support students in a primary school setting. As a key member of the education team, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide classroom support to teachers, including supervising students, maintaining order, and ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Assist with instructional activities, such as reinforcing lessons, providing additional explanations, and offering extra practice on assignments.
- Prepare teaching materials, such as visual aids, worksheets, and other resources needed for lessons.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including taking attendance, grading assignments, and organizing classroom materials.
- Support students with special educational needs or disabilities, providing personalized assistance and accommodations to help them succeed academically and socially.
- Implement behavior management strategies and support students in developing positive social skills.
- Communicate with parents or caregivers to provide updates on student progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Assist teachers in assessing student performance by administering tests, quizzes, or other assessments and recording results.
- Previous experience working in a school or with young people.
- Level 2 in Teaching and Learning or working towards this qualification.
- Current enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to provide a new one.
- Ability to provide references for all work in the last 2 years.
