Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Theatre Practitioner who excels in orchestrating and delivering exceptional perioperative care, adhering to established hospital protocols and guidelines while fostering a patient-centered environment. Opportunities for both full-time and part-time contracts are available.

Role Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare theatre lists as necessary, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Accurately document patient information within IT systems.
  • Maintain safety and suitability of patient care areas.
  • Safeguard the management of medications and controlled substances.
Required Skills and Experience
  • First level Registered Nurse or HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner (ODP).
  • Desirable: SFA qualification.
  • Post-registration education in a relevant specialty, or a Degree in Healthcare, or equivalent experience of 5+ years.
  • Expertise as a Scrub Nurse with substantial post-qualification experience across various surgical specialties.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to foster teamwork in a dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to a patient-centered approach.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including MS Outlook and web-based reporting systems.
  • Encourage a culture of professionalism and teamwork.
  • Exhibit integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior in all workplace interactions.
