Job Summary:

Simpson Judge Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Property Solicitor to lead our Conveyancing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our conveyancing process, providing technical guidance and support to our team members, and developing and implementing policies to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a complex caseload of Residential Property files, including sales, purchases, remortgages, leasehold, lease extensions, SDLT requirements, building regulations, and bridging transactions.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to team members, including trainee solicitors.
  • Develop and implement policies to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Group Compliance Director to ensure that all advice provided is compliant with all regulations.
  • Mentor and support team members to ensure they are equipped to handle complex conveyancing cases.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in conveyancing law and regulations, and implement changes as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Highly technical abilities and knowledge within Residential Conveyancing.
  • Experience managing a complex caseload of varied Residential Property files.
  • Ability to motivate and support team members, including trainee solicitors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
