About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Nationwide's Liquidity Reporting function, a team that is expanding its remit and seeking a skilled professional to support its growth.

The Liquidity Reporting team is responsible for overseeing the production and review of liquidity reporting and forecasting, ensuring the organization is well-prepared for future regulatory and business changes. The team's key objectives include:

  • Producing high-quality liquidity reports, including the weekly PRA110 return, the monthly LCR & ALMM returns, and the quarterly NSFR & AE returns.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a strong understanding of balance sheet risk, including Retail and Treasury.
  • Developing and implementing process improvements, efficiencies, and automation to enhance report production and governance.
  • Providing strong communication and stakeholder management skills to simplify technical concepts and relay them in business language.
  • Leading and motivating a small team, with experience in people management and the ability to support senior consultants.
  • Thriving under pressure and working to tight timelines, with excellent organizational skills.

The Liquidity Reporting team is part of the wider Reporting & Forecasting team within the Treasury function at Nationwide. This role will report to a Senior Consultant in the Liquidity and Product Risk Reporting team.

Nationwide offers a hybrid working approach, allowing colleagues to work from home and in the office. This role will require at least two days per week in the office, with regular travel to Swindon and London.

As a member of the Liquidity and Product Risk team, this role will support the production of regulatory reporting, with a focus on liquidity. The team works collaboratively to undertake numerous daily reporting tasks, providing exposure to a broader range of liquidity and product risk reporting.

This role will also have the opportunity to support regulatory reporting change programmes, helping to deliver important changes to our future reporting.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Deep knowledge of production / review of liquidity reg returns, namely LCR, NSFR, PRA110, ALMM.
  • Good understanding of balance sheet risk including Retail and Treasury.
  • Strong experience in report production, including governance/controls, change implementation and process improvements/efficiencies/automation.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management – able to simplify technical concepts/regs and interpret/relay these in business language.
  • People management experience (of small team) and ability to lead/motivate others and support senior consultant.
  • Thrive under pressure and working to tight timelines, good organisational skills.
