About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to support our Group in delivering high-quality financial reporting and insights to the Senior Management Team and the Board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide key weekly and monthly reporting, including weekly revenue, monthly forecast and actual reports, and KPI reporting to the Senior Management Team.
  • Support the maintenance and consolidation of the monthly forecast and actual results using the main financial consolidation model and evolve it as necessary.
  • Support the maintenance and consolidation of the annual plan and associated reports, generating new reports as required on request.
  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly results, identifying trends and highlighting significant variances against the Business Unit/Group plans and prior forecasts.
  • Develop and report on current and new KPIs on a monthly and quarterly basis, investigating any significant variances to report back to management.
  • Assist in developing and reporting on new business cases using best practice to ensure their viability against financial measures, including Return on Assets, ROCE, IRR, Cashflow, Interest Cover, and Leverage.
  • Review results against plan in terms of performance and capital expenditure, ensuring these are favourable. If findings are adverse, liaise with the associated budget owners to review, seek explanations, and reasoning to feed back.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in a Management Accountant, Finance Analyst, or FP&A position.
  • Part qualified AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience.
  • Aptitude for studying if not qualified/part qualified, with opportunities for growth and progression within the team and group.
  • Computer literate, with the ability to analyse and manipulate data on Excel, using some advanced features.
  • Previous experience of Dynamics, Navision, or Power BI would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to undertake a range of financial and business modelling tasks.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience in using initiative to resolve issues and queries, as and when they arrive, and be confident and curious to find your own answers as needed.
  • Attention to detail is critical to success in this role.
  • Ability to produce accurate reports to specific deadlines.
  • Ability to act proactively and be forward-thinking while maintaining a methodical, attention to detail approach.
  • Flexibility to support the business to get the job done, understanding the requirements of all stakeholders.
