Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team in Whitby. As a Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment, as well as performing fault-finding and electrical installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, including electrical services and equipment up to 415V
  • Perform electrical and mechanical fault-finding and electrical installations
  • Work independently or as part of a small team to achieve maintenance and repair objectives
  • Prioritize a busy workload, balancing planned maintenance, project work, and installations with unplanned events such as breakdowns
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on quality and safety

Requirements

  • Electrically apprentice-trained or qualifications to this effect
  • Computer literate
  • Holds City & Guilds 2391 and 2392 qualifications (training can be given)
  • Holds 18th Edition IEE certificate (training can be given)
  • Evidence of professional development and skills development
