Job Summary:
Nexos is seeking a highly skilled Senior E&I Commissioning Engineer to join our team. As a Senior E&I Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in the commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide HSE leadership and work with contractors and company teams to deliver high-quality HSE performance.
- Attend site meetings and participate in risk assessments to ensure the safe and efficient commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Respond to engineering site queries and liaise with contractors to clarify design requirements and provide engineering responses to site queries.
- Provide engineering assistance to construction teams and review and accept contractor-supplied procedures and activities for the installation of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Witness and accept site acceptance tests and implement, execute, and complete all discipline work-scopes detailed within commissioning test procedures.
- Ensure vendors are utilized fully when mobilized.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent through experience.
- Time-served relevant trade discipline or relevant NVQ/SVQ/HNC/HND.
- Demonstrable experience within commissioning, pre-commissioning.
- Very good knowledge of pre-commissioning and commissioning practices and workflows.
- Knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments (RA), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPS).
- Excellent communication skills and team-oriented personality required to interface with Construction and Operations Teams.
