About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Dental Nurse to join our Maxillofacial Outpatient Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients undergoing dental treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in professional and technical skills
  • Prepare patients for treatment and ensure they are received in a calm and reassuring manner
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care
  • Take on additional link roles to support the team, including Moving & Handling, Fire or Dementia Link

Requirements

  • Registered Dental Nurse with experience in Oral Surgery/Maxillofacial Surgery
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Commitment to continuing professional development to maintain registration
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the service

We are a small team of 6 Consultants, 8 Dental Nurses, 1 Associate Nurse Practitioner, and junior staff. We work collaboratively to provide excellent patient care and support each other in our roles. We are looking for someone who is flexible and able to work as part of a team to deliver high-quality care.
