About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Dental Nurse to join our team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust. As a key member of our Maxillofacial Outpatient Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in professional and technical skills
  • Prepare patients for treatment and ensure they are received in a calm and reassuring manner
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to supervise patients until they are fit to leave the department
  • Take on additional link roles to support the team, including Moving & Handling, Fire, or Dementia Link

Requirements

  • Registered Dental Nurse qualification
  • Experience in Oral Surgery/Maxillofacial in a hospital setting
  • Good interpersonal skills and commitment to continuing professional development
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the service
