About the Team
The Public Law and Regulatory team stands out as a leader in the health, social care, and local government sectors, continuously expanding its influence and client portfolio in financial services, commercial, and higher education. This team operates within the Litigation, Advisory & Regulatory department, addressing significant commercial, regulatory, and public law disputes. Role Overview
The firm is seeking a solicitor (3-5PQE) to enhance their busy and diverse litigation, advisory, and regulatory team, serving a variety of public and private sector clients across multiple sectors. The focus of this role will be on regulatory and public law matters. The successful candidate will engage in:

  1. Providing guidance to regulatory bodies across various sectors, including financial services and professional discipline, on the application of their regulatory powers, including managing appeals and public law challenges.
  2. Advising ombudsman schemes on decision-making processes and addressing complaints and challenges.
  3. Consulting with public service providers, commissioners, and regulators regarding their decision-making processes, including potential judicial review risks.
  4. Managing judicial review claims in the High Court and appellate courts.
  5. Assisting clients in responding to regulatory interventions.
  6. Supporting clients in public inquiries, including advice on disclosure obligations and responses to requests.
