About the Role
Binnies, a leading environmental project management company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team as part of our @one Alliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial and cost aspects of projects from inception to close-out, ensuring maximum efficiencies and compliance with Alliance and Anglian Water governance procedures.
- Provide robust estimates aligned to scope, manage commercial and procurement strategies, and ensure subcontracts are properly prepared and managed.
- Monitor and assess actual costs against baseline estimates, identify variances, and provide reports on actual costs versus estimates.
- Ensure the Alliance contract is properly administered, oversee timely issue of early warnings, and advise on compliance matters.
- Prepare final accounts and ensure proper records are kept for audits and cost assurance.
- Manage project and programme risk, including mitigation plans, proactive management of opportunities, and monitoring of identified efficiencies.
- Lead and manage a small team, mentor, and develop team individuals.
Requirements
- Education to degree level and RICS/CIOB/CICES certification.
- Demonstrable experience in managing complex projects, preferably with NEC suite of contracts.
- Negotiating and estimating skills, as well as outstanding stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, lead with a strong commercial focus, and champion collaboration and open communication.
