About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Wantage Primary Care Network. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and prescribing teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process repeat medication requests and prepare prescriptions in accordance with practice policy.
  • Deal with medication queries and provide advice and guidance to patients.
  • Process discharge summaries and add medication changes from 111 reports and clinic letters.
  • Work within both practice prescription teams and communicate with the broader practice MDT and community pharmacies.
  • Maintain compliance with protocols and standards.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and qualifications:

  • GPhC Registration.
  • NVQ L3 or equivalent qualification in pharmacy services.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws, ethics, and terminology.
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of clinical systems.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Professional telephone manner.
