Job Description:

We are seeking a Psychology Graduate to join our team at Academics, a mixed gender SEN school for children with learning difficulties and complex needs. As a Psychology Graduate, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal development of our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with their academic work, including completing administrative tasks and working with teachers to establish learning outcomes.
  • De-escalating situations if a student becomes agitated, and providing emotional support to students with complex needs.
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as eating and toileting, and supervising students around the campus.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to provide a comprehensive support package for our students.

Requirements:

  • A child and adult DBS (we can support your application if you do not currently have one).
  • No measures that prevent you from working with children.
  • A commitment to the position and a desire to work with children with Special Needs.
  • Empathy and resilience.
