Position: AESA CDT Lead

The AESA CDT is a multifaceted engineering group dedicated to Systems, Electronics, Firmware, and Mechanical engineering tasks. Comprising over 70 engineers, the team is committed to crafting innovative solutions for essential product components to enhance development efficiency, leverage specialized expertise, and promote product reusability.

The AESA CDT Lead will take charge of guiding the team's initiatives in creating a variety of engineering solutions, ranging from chipset designs to comprehensive product offerings. This position necessitates close collaboration with IPT leadership, procurement, and manufacturing teams to guarantee the effective delivery of specialized radar system solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the multi-disciplinary AESA CDT to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of engineering solutions
  • Formulate and execute a strategy for antenna technology advancement in partnership with the CTO
  • Spot opportunities for technological progress to uphold a competitive edge in AESA design
  • Build relationships with key suppliers and comprehend critical supply chain dynamics
  • Coordinate development efforts with clients and suppliers across various sectors and product lines
  • Manage team workload, assess engineering risks, and ensure compliance with engineering standards
  • Assist Project Engineering Leads in program reporting regarding cost and schedule performance

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in an engineering discipline
  • Chartered Engineer registration with a relevant Professional Body
  • Full SC clearance
  • Proven track record in delivering intricate engineering solutions
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Preferred experience in RF/Microwave, Packaging, and PCA design
  • Familiarity with semiconductor wafer foundry processes and component manufacturing
