Job Summary

Senior Firmware Engineer - Up to £65K plus bonus

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Firmware Engineer to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and documenting firmware and software drivers for our cutting-edge technology.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a global leading firm in the industry, utilizing your expertise in firmware and software development to drive innovation and growth. You will be working closely with a small team of experienced engineers, collaborating on projects that involve interacting with hardware components, and developing low-level programs that control Embedded Real Time systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and document firmware and software drivers for our Embedded Real Time systems
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement new technologies and features
  • Work closely with hardware components to ensure seamless integration and functionality
  • Develop and maintain low-level programs that control Embedded Real Time systems
  • Contribute to the development of software and firmware solutions that meet the needs of our customers

Requirements

  • Strong background in firmware and software development, with a focus on Embedded Systems
  • Experience with C++ in a Real Time firmware environment, as well as other programming languages such as Python, C, VB, or Java
  • Knowledge of Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, as well as Real Time Operating Systems such as VxWorks, FreeRTOS, or uC/COS-II(-III)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
