About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highways Agent to join our team. As a Highways Agent, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of road widening and improvement projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the project team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
- Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that they are within budget
- Ensure that all project activities are carried out in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the commercial team to manage change and ensure that all contractual obligations are met
- Manage the design and quality of the project, ensuring that it meets the required standards
- Ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience in highways project management or a related field
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
