We are seeking a highly skilled QA Technologist to join our team at Fresh Direct. As a QA Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products, while also supporting the Technical Manager and Operations Manager in maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical and quality support to the production team.
- Conduct daily checks, including start-ups, calibrations, and environmental temperature checks.
- Investigate consumer complaints and determine root cause and corrective action.
- Coordinate cleaning schedules with the operations hygiene team.
- Assist with operations on booking in goods and stock control.
- Actively participate in the implementation of site quality improvement projects.
- Ensure raw material specifications are available for all components and packaging used on site.
- Support the Technical Manager with specification and artwork progression.
- Previous technical experience in a chilled food manufacturing environment, preferably in meat processing.
- Knowledge of relevant food safety legislation, HACCP, and the current BRC standard.
- Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with a high attention to detail.
